Work From Home Marketing Business Tips
When most people think about starting a home based marketing business it is for the "I want to be my own boss and work whenever, where ever I want, write my own paycheck mentality" and that's exactly why most of us get into this business. But I want you to consider a few things about setting up your business.
Working from home has tons of perks. No boss standing over your shoulder. You're not crammed into a tiny cubicle for 8 hours a day and you no longer have to fight with that daily commute to and from the office, just to name a few. But there are things to think about when working from home.
Working from home requires a certain mind set and discipline. You really must have a daily routine. True, there's no one standing over your shoulder telling you when, how and why to get something done, but if you don't have a daily routine most likely the things that you should do, will not get done. Whether you want to work early in the morning, early afternoons or in the wee hours in the morning (my favorite time) it doesn't really matter as long as you stick to a routine.
Another consideration is, you really need a work space of your own. Your "office" if that's what you want to call it. You need a place where you can hang a "working" sign so everyone else will know that you are busy and not to disturb you. If you are working and constantly have distractions and interruptions then it's really no different than that cubicle at the old job. You really should make "your space" for work so everyone knows. Which brings up another great perk of working at home. You can make your office anywhere you want, the den, an extra bedroom, out on the deck or by the pool (my favorite) as long as you have an internet connection.
