Walk In Closets Are Common In Expensive Homes
Women love closets and the bigger they are the better. If you ever walk through an open house that has a big master closet, you will hear the woman get all excited about the different things she can do with it. The guy, on the other hand, will most likely show little interest. What this means is that women are usually in charge of the closets in the house and they are always looking for ideas on how to use them more effectively.
Walk in closets used to be rare and only in the upper end homes. But now more and more of the newer houses are being built with walk in closets. Especially in the master bedroom, walk in closet ideas are often needed to figure just how to use all the extra space. Women love walk in closets because they usually own many times more shoes and clothes than men.
When a woman sees a big closet, her mind immediately races with all the ways she could fill it up which include buying new things. A man, on the other hand, yawns and thinks to himself "big deal, can I fit a TV in here? " Ultimately, walk in closets are good for both parties as anything that makes the woman happy indirectly makes the man happier as well.
The bigger your closet the more you are in need of good closet lighting. Some of the walk in closets in master bedrooms are so big that they are almost another room. That one little light on the ceiling of that type of closet just doesn't do the job. You can bring light in via lamps to this kind of closet or you can install more lights on the ceiling. LED track lighting can be used to highlight your clothes and give your closet a very cool look. If your closet doesn't have any outlets in it, you may have to go the route where you install lights overhead.
Any big closet needs to be partitioned and it needs to be decided on who gets what. Usually, the woman will get 75% of the closet with the remaining 25% going to the man. Ultimately though, the closet is usually more important to the woman and she should have the say of how it is organized and decorated.
